The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established seven years ago by major enterprises, organizations and private firms of Moscow and the Moscow region as a private, non-profit organization. Apart from supporting local firms and enterprises and promoting trade, the Chamber is very active in establishing relationships with foreign companies. International activity of the Chamber is implemented by its Department of Foreign Economic Activities which includes several divisions. The divisions are specifically designed to promote Russian companies' international activity and assist foreign businesses in Russia.

Division of International Relations and Protocol
- promotes business contacts with foreign Chambers of Commerce and Industry, trade associations and firms; coordinates overall international activity; provides information services to member-organizations and foreign firms in Moscow.

Division of Accreditations and Visas
- arranges accreditation of foreign firms in Russia (with appropriate federal ministries and agencies, as well as helps in preparing documentation for accreditation ), and logistical support of accredited offices, including search for qualified personnel;
- provides visa support for foreign partners of MCCI members.

Division of Translations
- provides translation services, as well as certification (notorization) of translated texts.

Division of Exhibitions and Fairs Overseas
- promotes foreign trade shows in Russia, and provides logistical support (such as travel arrangements) to participants in foreign trade shows.

Division of International Projects
- provides marketing research and consulting services.

The Chamber also has a Center for Business Training which provides business training, and organizes conferences and seminars. The Center holds workshops on such topics as certification, quality control of goods, and customs procedures.

To better promote international trade and investment, the Chamber regularly publishes trade and commercial leads from Russian and foreign companies, which are also available on the Internet at: http://www.mtpp.org.
